Email prompt of entry

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you know how to get a prompt sent to your email when a new entry is posted on the blog.

1. Log in
2. Go to the Settings tab
3. Within the Settings tab go to the Comments tab
4. At the bottom of the Comments tab is a field where you can enter an email address which will receive an email everytime a new post is added to the blog.

I took my test yesterday and now am able to relax for the coming month. I am just excited to spend time with the family. Thank for everyone's prayers on my behalf. We are planning our own little family vacation to San Diego the second week of June. We sure love you guys and are excited to see you later.

As a serious matter of family business. I have decided that Kurtis is no longer "Squirt". I can't call a married man "Squirt", it just isn't right. But in light of his recent job efforts and a coming trip to LA, I have decided to change his nickname to "Hollywood". I think it fits him pretty well. Ha ha.

Hi from Mom

Hi Everyone,

I finally figured out how to write on Kent's blog. I have enjoyed reading what everyone has said and especially like the pictures. There are lots of ways to keep in touch in this great big world. We are excited about the upcoming wedding of Kurtis and Melanie. What a special young lady our son is marrying. Just like his brothers. Kent, we are all rooting for you as you take your test tomorrow! Love, Mom

Love you all!!

Well, don't we just have the cutest pictures on this site? I will have to figure out how to add pictures from the BIG cousins. Benjamin has stopped eyeing me up and down each night now that he is taller than I am--his dad gets the treatment! At the rate our garden is going in this year we will be eating the scraps from the Gordon garden. We are trying dad!! We have Kent's test date on our calendar and you can count on us "tiger". Sarah has the honor of doing the last test of the school year--can you believe she has a spelling test on the last day? What is this world coming to? She also starts the flute in two weeks. She is going to keep on the piano too so we are really a budding musician. Kimberly is swinging between excitement and agony over leaving 5ht grade and starting middle school. Yikes I'm getting old. Little Jonny finds time each day to fight off the imaginary bad guys--sound like someone we know? Can't wait to see the CA folks at the wedding. Since I'm sort of computer challenged, is there any way to have this blog notify me when there is a new posting? I will have to play around with it a bit.
Love you all

Dad's notes

We are excited about that happening in the family. New arrival and weddings etc.

Our garden is just beans, beets and squash this year. With one lone tomato plant.

We are working on the Cambodian Education Fund. We have several things that need to be done before our next 18 month "cruise". My sister wants us to follow Elder Oaks to Central Europe. Susan likes the Idea of Greece which includes all of the mid east.

Got to run to mission coorlation and BBQ with the Elders. Had a baptism last night.

Excited to see the family

Hey everyone,

I am hoping to get a little bit more interaction on this soon but we shall see. Anyways, we have our tickets bought for the wedding. It was a little scary because we bought them on Wednesday, and then Mom called me Thursday morning to tell me that they have moved the date and my heart sunk. Luckily we decided to fly home on Sunday and so we were okay with the change. This does mean that we are getting in on Thursday night and will have some time to mess around in the area. We will most likely visit with some of Holly's old friends. I want to get down to Provo and check out the condo that we are going to be buying. Anyways, everything is going great here in CA. My test is now less then 2 weeks away. The new theme in our family is from Rocky. Every time I leave the house to go study Jack and Holly both point and with really intense faces yell "EYE OF THE TIGER...DADDY!" What kind of person wouldn't get pumped up with that kind of support. We love you all and are excited about seeing you in the future. P.S. Here is a picture that pretty much shows how my body is feeling with all the work and studying, there is no time for excersize.

This is for you Kent

Hi Everybody! Kent has been nagging on me for not supporting the blog, so here is my first entry. Jordan had tons of snot in her nose this morning...if you want to know the details of our lives. Me and the kids went to Capitola yesterday. It was one of the best beach days I've had here in CA. It was beautiful. Jack and some of his friends just played for hours. The beach is such a great place for kids (and parents since the kids will amuse themselves for so long). A great place for a family reunion some day. hint, hint

Hello, I'm trying this out

Hey everyone. This is cool. I loved the pictures Kent. and Kenneth, I think we should nominate you for some sort of award!! Wow. We will be praying for you Kent on the 30th. At our house, we are trying to stay focused until the end of school. It is a tough road to do that!! The warm summer nights and trampoline are very enticing. Love you

Plugging away on the CPA

Hi everyone,

I hope that this little blog can catch on as a quick and easy way to report the goings on of our various families. Not much is going on here in CA. We enjoyed having Kenneth visit for the weekend. And thank goodness he did or the world might be one person less from the sound of it. I am currently studying for the 4th CPA exam. I am scheduled to take in on the 30th of May. I could really use your prayers as I can feel myself hitting a mental wall. I talked to Holly about this the other day and am really going to try and focus the last three weeks here. I then plan on taking the next month off after this test.

Once again I hope that we can all use this as a fun and easy way to share our thoughts, ideas, and pictures.

Love ya

Kent

First Try

I thought someone should post something so we could see how it works.

Don't know if you all heard, but I possibly helped save a gentleman named Javier over the weekend who appeared to be chocking on his gum during a seizure. A couple chest compressions knocked the gum loose and his wife was very grateful. Sure made me appreciate the precious gift of life. He was probably 30.
